Welcome to millholm.com, the website of the Mitchell family.
Over the years we've done lots of things and lived in lots of places. Millholm is the name of the market gardens, Bert Mitchell bought over in the mid-1970s to replace Newmill Market Gardens started by Tom Mitchell in 1926. It seemed a good memory of what they stood for to put this website together looking at where we have been and what we have done.
It has taken many yearsto allow the time and space to update the website. I hope that you like the new look. We decided on something a bit different from the sites we've had before to freshen up the whole look. The website is broken into three areas covering the two Market Gardens, places around the world where we have lived and an archive of old growing techniques passed down to me and dating from around the 1950s and 1960s.
